The Welsh Royal Crystal glass-making factory uses handcrafting skills going back centuries and all stages of the manufacture process are carried out at their Rhayader factory.
All crystal pieces are individually mouth blown and hand cut, with many of the shapes and decorative cuts reflecting traditional and Celtic design influences.
Visitors can take a tour around the factory which is open 9.00am - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 4.30pm daily. Note that glass blowing demonstrations are only available on certain days so you may want to ring ahead to check.

Jack Sharp.Treasurer, Llantwit Major Town Twinning
We are considering bringing a coach party of around 50 French visitors from our Twin Town in Brittany, in Sept 2007.From our recollections from our all-Welsh party last year, there was no commentary in French available. If this is still the case, we would be obliged if you could send us the script that you use so that we can do our own translation for when we visit. Thanking you in anticipation of your favourable reply, Yours faithfully , Jack Sharp
