Brecon Beacons

A great place for both walkers and wildlife watchers, the Brecon Beacons is much more than a nature reserve.

Cambrian Lapwing Trust

Charles Grisedale from Pennant in Ceredigion built a fenced reserve to protect the birds and the site.

Carngafallt

Carngafallt is an RSPB reserve and is a mixture of woodland, moorland and farmland.

Cors Caron

When the Red Kite faced extinction, Cors Caron was one of the few places where it could still be found.

Crychan Forest

This area is home to the rare nightjar as well as a host of other birds.

Dolydd Hafren

Almost 150 different species of bird have been recorded on the wetlands of Dolydd Hafren near Welshpool.

Dyfi National Nature Reserve

Glaslyn is widely considered to be Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust's flagship reserve.

Lake Vyrnwy Nature Reserve is set in the heart of the Berwyn Mountains.

Nant yr Arian Centre

Bwlch Nant yr Arian centre is set in a stunning lakeside setting overlooking the Melindwr Valley.

Parc Natur Penglais

Ycan take a break from urban life with a refreshing walk through these lovely woodlands.

Pendinas and Tanybwlch

A reserve which combines an ancient hillfort with spectacular views of Cardigan Bay.

Ynys Hir

Ynys Hir Nature Reserve is set in a stunning location at the top of the Dyfi Estuary.
