A bird hide overlooking the old bed of the River Wye, where winter flooding attracts several species of swan, duck and other wildfowl in large numbers.
Pwllpatti is part of the old bed of the River Wye.
It floods in winter and attracts a large number of over-wintering wildfowl, which you can watch from the bird hide at the side of the road.
These include Bewick's Swan, Whooper Swan, Mute Swan, Tufted Duck, Coot, Mallard, Teal, Widgeon, Pochard, Gadwall, Green Sandpiper and Water Pipit.
Opening Times Open throughout the year
Admission Charges Admission is free but donations are welcome.
Location Cwmbach, near Glasbury-on-Wye
Directions From Glasbury, take the B4350 to Boughrood Brest. Go through Cwmbach, and park in the lay-by on the L just after the derestriction sign. The hide is on the L a little further on. Please do not go beyond the hide.
