Montgomeryshire Trust looks after 18 reserves which are made up of a variety of habitats, and they have a very comprehensive website where you can find more about the other reserves and what each one can offer. Note that Morfa Dyfi and Red House reserves are not open to the public. You can see anything from the red kite, otters and dormouse to the skylarks, redstart and pied flycatcher, and special plants in the area include quaking grass and the yellow oat grass. This area is home to some of our most important birds, and is seen traditionally as a place which holds rich wildlife habitats, so as you see there's plenty to keep you active. If you fancy being actively involved in the work of the trust you can also register as a working volunteer.
