Ynyslas

Last updated: 25 March 2008

From walking and wildlife watching to windsurfing, the Dyfi National Nature Reserve has something for everyone.

The Dyfi National Nature Reserve is a lovely place to visit for adults and children alike.

The reserve's located about 7 miles north of Aberystwyth and is managed by the Countryside Council for Wales. The area was designated a reserve in 1969 to protect the local wildlife and habitats, and it's made up of three distinct areas:

  • Ynyslas Sand Dunes
  • Dyfi Estuary Mudflats
  • Cors Fochno or Borth Bog
