During this time i was a soldier in Berlin it was the coldest winter in a hundred years but we were expected to complete a battle test we as a company slept out under canvas for three nights after which we were given two days off then back out for another three days and nights.I have never been so cold in my life. Boys from the west indies like barbados who were on this test caught frost bite and the yanks thought we the british had gone mad sending their troops out in this cold. I have photos of yniswen falls that my father took during this time i shall try to upload them later.
