Machfringe organised a stand up night in the White Lion in Machynlleth.At Ysgol Dyffryn Trannon, Trefeglwys, Caersws, Year 6 pupils organised a "Bring & Buy" Sales and Cake Stalls. Pupils also brought a total of 12,884 one pence and two pence coins to school. These were laid end to end for a distance of nearly half a kilometre. ELWa staff in Newtown held a teddy bear's picnic in the office for Pudsey' along with a raffle and dress down day. Ysgol Dolafon school in Llanwrtyd Wells put on a concert in the Victoria Hall as well as holding fund-raising activities in school, including a toy stall, penalty shoot out, guess the number of pages in the book, how many smarties in the jar. Coleg Powys held a coffee morning on the Brecon campus of Coleg when they sold a range of their cards, gifts, winter plants and Christmas puddings, as well as running a raffle. I.T Tutor Jim Weeks, Sports Tutor Chay Billen, and students Darren Williams and Dale Williams had their legs waxed. Pudsey bear shortbread made by the students were also on sale. Gwyneth and Philip from Welshpool arranged a 5 mile walk followed by a ploughman's lunch at their house.Presteigne Branch Royal British Legion held a 24 hour karaoke and raffle. Llandrindod Wells Primary School organised a whole school pyjama party, decorated wellies and hats, biscuit and cake stall. Aberdance held a sponsored dance evening including the Waltz, Salsa, Hip-hop and other dances.Dolau Youth Club held a children's disco. Staff at MGs Coffee and Sandwich Bar in Aberystwyth wore fancy dress for work, sold cookies and badges, and ran a scratch card competition as well as a competition for 'best sandwich filling' suggestion. Elaine from Knighton held a garage sale. Staff at Boots the Chemist in Llandrindod Wells wore pyjamas to work for the day. They also brought in their Teddy Bears and customers were asked to match a teddy with the right member of staff!Brecon Social Services staff held a top 20 'tacky' prize raffle where they encouraged people to buy and provide 'tacky' prizes - one person's tack is another person's treasure!The University of Wales Aberystwyth netball and football teams played each other at their own games, organising a netball and 5-a-side football tournament.The North Ceredigion Scouts District organised a pyjama party and sleepover for 25-30 cubs and scouts. Sixth form students from Llanfyllin High School organised a Miss World competition - for men only!Ysgol Dolafon school in Llanwrtyd Wells put on a special concertLlanfair Caereinion High School had a non-uniform day - and gunged a fellow pupil in 'monkey drench' with dog food, feathers, custard etc. Gwyneth and Philip Evans from the Welshpool area organised a Sunday morning walk with lunch fior 40 friends and family.Staff and pupils at Ysgol Rhiw-Bechan in Tregynon wore their clothes "inside out and back to front". Brynllywarch Hall Special School covered a large Pudsey Bear with copper coins. Staff and children at Llanidloes Community Primary School dressed as their favourite pop star Coleg Powys students in Newtown, Llandrindod Wells and Brecon organised a host of sponsored events, including:

"Last year me and a few people wanted to have a 24hr sports day whichwould include staying at the college over night but we wasnt aloud but we are going to try again this yr hopefully we will be aloud to do it and raise alot of money".

"A great fundraiser is to ask teachers, parents, etc. (preferrably people interested in your education) to take part in a sponsorship. Ask them to pledga money for every book you read that is over a hundred pages in the space of two weeks. The more friends taking part, and the more sponsors you get, the better!"

"You could get a friend to go swimming with you for 1 hour and get people to sponser you 5p every length you swim with a friend. It would make the amount of money double (this is what I am doing with one of my best friends!)"

"I think that you could see how long you could not speak for and you could let the people who pay harass the person who isn't speaking. Also you could put on a performance for people who have any talent and thay want to show it off even if it means being able to bend backwards right down to your back or doing a back flip or singing and parents family and friends or whoever has to pay £5 per ticket to get in."
