For more than a decade, Jim Bell has been restoring the site of an ancient castle on the edge of his hometown of Presteigne. For the 81-year-old retired timber feller, it's a labour of love.

There must be something in one's heart & blood that goes back to their ancestors! My ancestors are from Evenjobb & Old Radnor. I've been searching my family tree and after seeing your beautiful photos I now know where all these deep feelings come from for the old knarled trees,etc. I LOVE seeing them. There's a feeling of "going back home" when I see them. Your photos are BEAUTIFUL! Thank you so much for sharing!
