The charm of Presigne is the diverse nature of the townscape. Here you see an Edwardian pastiche - applied half-timbering with ornate plasterwork. This is one of the most characterful facades on High Street and gives the town its distinctive character. To the left you can see the corner of the Assembly rooms 1869.

Most of the buildings on High Street have long narrow plans with only a narrow frontage to the street and are Georgian or Victorian in character.
