My GRGR grand parents was born and raised in Pontrydfendigaid about 1806, Roderick Jones and Elizabeth Roderick. I was just hoping that someone might be related to these find people and would be interrested in catching me up on their information. Some day, I am going to see what you see every day! God bless you folks

Used to live high up in the mountains above Pontrydfendigaid in 1988, really miss that home, there is still so much to see, I wish to retire there. Spent many days roaming the countryside and sometimes rescuing Ronnie John's lambs. Loved listening to Tom who owned a shop during that time. Tales of his times of delivering groceries to the village near my home only they do not exist anymore. I think they were miners up there until the work dried up. Does anyone remember these stories.

What a shame the weather was so bad this year at Sioe Bont. The field was like a mud bath and full marks to Huw & the lads for clearing the mess on the road. Lets start praying for sunshine and no foot & mouth next year!

Plaid are making a decision in your village on Saturday (7/7/7) that may change the face of our nation's politics for good. The pubs will come in useful!

Yes, Andrew, we still have two pubs in Bont, both Lions: Red and Black. Perhaps, with the Beast of Bont still hovering around somewhere, the "lion" tags are appropriate! Oh, and Angharad still lives in the village, I believe.
