I played for Bont from 69-75, during this period I had the privalege of playing with some of the best amateur footballers in Wales, during this period we won the League,League cup, North Cards cup and the South Cards cup, the last one 3-1 against Penrhyncoch after they had beaten us earler in the week 7-1. One of my favorite memories was of travelling in the back of Lloyds car to away games squashed in the back between Dai Metcalfe and Dai Rennie and anyone else avilable, with the late Mike Evans and Big Ieu in the front, and Ieu having to change gear for Lloyd as they were so crushed he could'nt do it himself, luckily the car had column change, I still see a few of the old boys now and again, I always keep a look out to see how the team is getting on. After playing for Bont I also played for Aber Town, Mach, Padarn United and much to Lloyds disapointment Penrhyn, something I later regretted. There are far more stories to tell but they would fill this page. So I'll finish now and leave you with the knowlage that this was one of the happiest time of my life, and one of the best club let alone side I ever played for.

played for Bont 68-71 on and off.Left winger, still got the scars to prove it.Great times, wonderful bunch of lads.I must add that Lloyd Lucas was the finest linesman in mid-wales.His offside decisions, often disputed by the opposition, were in my view always spot on!

I now live in cdiff and work in the BBC. It's amazing the following Bont have all over wales and how well known we are as a club. Let's keep up the good work and build for the future! Bont is more than just a football club to anyone that's played for them!!!!

Playing for Bont in the Aber Mini Monors league.Huw Jones' minibus would come up from Bont and pick a few of us up in Pontrhydygroes before heading into Aber to play Waun Wanderers, Penglais Albion etc. Roger Dimmock or ken in charge and then chips in Penparcau on the way home.I remember losing every game one season when Rog was manager and he had promised to buy us chips if we won a game.We beat Penparcau 2-1 in the last game and our manager mysteriously dissappeared just after the final whistle!!!!Happy days (well not always when you had to get the ball from the ditch down at Plasgrug.

One of the greatest moments of my life was when i first put on a Bont shirt, and the greatest was the day when i scored my first goal for the club at Bowstreet at the end of the 2004/05 season.
