Sharing Aberaeron

Dark Aeron

Last updated: 21 January 2008

Lorelei Marka-Novaj was inspired by the town and area to write this poem for Aberaeron's bicentenary.

Come to Aberaeron, It's our Bicentenary Year,
Come and join in all the fun, the festival is here,

We'll celebrate our heritage and the passing of the act,
The way the town has prospered and those interesting facts,

We're having lots of fireworks on our Venetian Night,
A party and a pig roast too, the entertainment's light,

We have some lovely workshops, there are lots of thing to do,
The invitation is extended now the rest is up to you.

When you come to Aberaeron in the land of fairy tales,
You can't beat the living beauty of this harbour town in Wales,

Our landscapes are our pride and you'll know from the very start,
That those welcomes fresh from hillsides, also come straight from the heart,

The hills are packed with promise and the boats all look so grand,
The walks around the area take you round our promised land,

Take home a seaside glow you won't find any other place,
A smile that's deep inside,
Not just displayed upon your face.
