The Caravan

Last updated: 21 February 2006

By Catherine French

The place it was so precious
throughout my childhood years.
my family and i would go
to Greenfields park in Wales.

It took quite long to get there,
through winding country roads.
But I loved this little haven
hidden from the road.

Although this place was quiet,
just caravans and fields,
to me it was so perfect,
a special place to me.

Many years have now gone by
since these long hot summers days,
Those days may be so
distant but memories remain.

By Catherine French from Pentre in the Rhondda
