Ynyslas Viewpoint

The dunes at Ynyslas form part of the Dyfi National Nature Reserve. From the visitor centre it is possible to take two way-marked boardwalk paths through the dunes. This view was taken from a viewpoint on the 'shell' path.

Along with my mom, dad , brothers and sister we spent most of our childhood holidaying at Ynyslas. First we camped and then dad bought a caravan. We spent hours and hours playing on the sand dunes and running in and out of the sea. We used to crab fish off the jetty in abadovey. My sister and I are going to ynyslas next week just overnight, a trip down memory lane. Cannot wait.

To Richard from Derby: The best caravan park in Borth by far is Penygraig Farm Caravan Park.

Have enjoyed many happy holidays with my family under canvas at Ynyslas, in 1976 during that fantastic summer we spent three weeks there, happy days.

To Diane Young Essex. There are some local artists that have set up a shop on the main Borth road on the beach front. They are selling lovely paintings of the dunes and beach there and will take on commissions for work. Hope this helps.

Please help. Every summer holiday I spent on Ynyslas beach running down sand hills and jumping waves. I have great childhood memories and tell my own children of the fun we had. I am now in the process of decorating my house and would love a large painting showing the dunes, beach and sea to hang in my lounge. Any ideas?
