For a gentle swim or a sprint round the sports track, Maldwyn Leisure Centre is popular with locals and visitors alike.
The Maldwyn Leisure Centre has all the facilities you'd expect to see at your local leisure centre - a 25 metre swimming pool and fitness room, as well as full-size sports hall where classes martial art and aerobic classes are held.
If you enjoy racket sports, there are four badminton courts here and four squash courts.
Special 'Holiday Clubs' are organised during school holidays for children aged 8 - 14 years old. They do a variety of sports as well as other activities like Treasure Hunts. The 4 hour session are held Monday - Friday in the holidays, from 9.00am to 1.00pm and the cost is £3.50 per child per day or £15.00 per week.
The centre also has excellent outdoor facilities. Its 400-metre synthetic running track has an astroturk pitch which meets international standards and which is used regularly for training and staging events.

I think its all right but it needs slides and diving boards and more fun stuff because when you go swimming its boring and in the inflatables there's too much of a line they should do something about that!

i love swimming but the pool needs more fun things like a slide and a jacuzi like welshpool i think that if they put sum work in to the swimming pool and everything else there then they will get more customers and they will bring in more money to make more changes to the pool and everything elsei think that it is good that they do free swim in the hols but all the people do is jump in and swim where is the fun in that

The leisure centre is a fantastic place to go to unwind, tone up and socialize. The centre now has a soft play area for the kids, an up to date health and fitness suite and friendly, informative staff who help make every visit more enjoyable. A must for anyone in the area!
