Callum began Tae kwon Do when he was seven years old with his sister Lara, who was nine, in Newtown.
In 2003 he won Gold in the English and British championships for his pattern. And silver at the Cornish championships for sparring 2004.
After moving from Newtown he attended Welshpoool school and trained under 4th an instructor James Kessler (GTI). This is where both himself and his sister achieved their blacks belts in Derby on the 15th may 2005.
Callum was the youngest there at only 10 years old. The grading was very tough with him being tested on his patterns, sparring and the Korean language.
Both himself and his sister were awarded their black belts and both were tested by five instructors from 3rd to 7th Dan, one of whom was Tony Sewell, the world champion.
Callum now attends Aberwywth Tae kwon Do school (UKTA) under instructor Mr Pete Billing.
In 2006 he took two silvers in the Welsh Open in Cardiff.
He was also awarded the Montgomeryshire Sport Council Junior Sports Personality of the Year 2005 in Feb 2006.
Callum is also a talented runner and has been chosen by Ian Jefferies to train once a month with ten other talented athletes.
Callum's dream is to participate in the Olympics using his Tae Kwon Do.
