Santa Run 2004 Photos
The streets of Newtown were a sea of red on Sunday 5 December 2004 when 3,445 adults took part in the town's annual Santa Run. The organisers of the 4.5 mile charity fun set a new world record for the largest gathering of Santas in a single place.

As well as taking part in the fun run, Trevor Taylor from West Bromwich also decided the Newtown Santa Run was the perfect place to propose to his partner Tracy Beattie. He popped the question in front of a crowd of hundreds... and Tracy said yes!
