Santa Run 2004 Photos

The streets of Newtown were a sea of red on Sunday 5 December 2004 when 3,445 adults took part in the town's annual Santa Run. The organisers of the 4.5 mile charity fun set a new world record for the largest gathering of Santas in a single place.

All Santas were given a three hour time limit to complete the 4.5 mile course around Newtown. On a damp December morning, the public houses along the route tempted some in for a Christmas tipple. Others were determined to complete the course in the quickest possible time.
