Over three weekends in June, Newtown stages a series of three different festivals - a Music, Theatre and Dance Festival (4-6 June), a Carnival (11-13 June) and a Food Festival (19-20 June).

The first of Newtown's three fun weekends kicked off with the SevernFest Music, Theatre and Dance Festival which was held in The Park in the grounds of the Town Hall from 4-6 June 2004.
