I am tracing my family history NAMES: morgan & owen adress the lot park street for a number of years i visited newtown and the lot has been demolished can anyone help with photos or maps of this area i am looking for john morgan born c1871 sarah owen born 1879 both in newtown it looks as though sarah had a son who is named on the war memorial thomas william owen (mother sarah morgan)i am visiting again in two weeks my grandfather alfred morgan was born 1917 address 9 & 10 the lot would be very grateful for any info thank you debbie

Having problems tracing a Sarah Blodwen Thomas. She had a daughter in 1928 but can not find a marriage or death cert for her. She did work as a housekeeper at Dolguriddil (not sure spelling correct) Stay little, think it was a farm. If anyone knows who owned the farm then or can help, very grateful.

I am looking for EDWARDS/MILLS relatives or descendants. My grandparents, Richard EDWARDS b1882 Trefeglwys and Mary MILLS b1882 Llanidloes married in Manledd Chapel Llanidloes 1907. In 1910 they migrated to Australia with 2 young children Phyllis and Arthur. Richard had 5 sisters, one Maggy May EDWARDS married William Henry MACKIE and they lived in Ilfracombe Devon. Mary had 2 brothers and 5 sisters, one Catherine MILLS married Pryce BREESE,poss 1902, and another sister Ellen (Nell) MILLS married Thomas RICHARDS(ON) pos 1894. Any info would be much appreciated.

We are coming to Newtown in a couple of weeks, can anyone tell me if Dysart Ter Canal Basin is still there, my husbands family great grandad was called Evan Pryce, his wife was called Margret, daughter name Maria, Alice,Rose H,Margaret A,Lillie, sons names were Alfred E, (David e,who was my husbands granfather)Henry E,, and a grand daughter Qwendoline I All PRYCE. This was taken from the 1901 census. We would like to visit there graves , but we do not know which churchyard that would be. Thank You For Reading This.

HiI am researching my family tree, particularly my ancestor Henry Griffiths (father's name: John). He joined the British Army in 1889 in Colchester and was later stationed in Ireland. he also served in South Africa.He died in Dublin, Ireland in 1943.The reason I am typing this in is that on his subscription papers, he listed Newtown as his place of birth. The only problem is that he also added that this was in Caernarvon! From my reaeach, I can't find any Newtown in Caernarvon!If you have any information that would help me in my quest, it would be greatly appreciated.

Mom's memories of Wales were of Our Father in Welsh and being sent home from school permanently due to her speech defect. Her dad used to bring her to get cod for Sunday breakfast. She was sent to help an english family when she was 14, and later moved to this country wwhen 18. Tom had 2 children, Howard and Christine carpenter,and Christine eventually married and had triplets, one of whom died at birth. I have cousins from my aunt Rose who married Ivor Brain, Hillary and Terry. I don't know too much about my Welsh family,we used to exchange comic books during the 40's. I would like to know more abo! ut them, on my divorce, I took my Mom's maiden name. I am crazy about all things Welsh, so that was a start.Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
