2007 Santa Run
Last updated: 09 December 2007
Sunday 9 December 2007 saw Newtown flooded by a sea of red and white as Santas from all over the UK and beyond came to race each other. The annual event is all in aid of community transport charity Newtown & District Dial A Ride.
In 2007 about 600 runners were scheduled to take part in this annual event which brightens up Newtown in the run-up to Christmas.
The event kicked off at 11 am when Montgomeryshire's MP, Lembit Opik and Montgomeryshire's AM, Mick Bates started the event.
We'll be adding photos of the event throughout this week so if you or someone you know is taking part check out the site to see if we've caught you on camera.
If you'd like to add your photos of this year's Santa Run, please email us at wales.mid@bbc.co.uk.
