"Weather, and a lack of paying tourists, has forced us to cut back on the number of boat trips run.
This means that we collect much less data. But even with this paltry amount of data, there have been numerous bottlenose dolphin and Atlantic grey seal sightings.
Porpoise have been absent as of late, but with darkening skies and increased winds, there much more difficult to actually spot.
Surprisingly, there were more Atlantic grey seals seen during boat based surveys than bottlenose dolphins. 33 were seen in one day! The bottlenose dolphins have been as active as ever, leaping about, tail slapping, and playing about as usual.
Total sightings for the week;146 Bottlenose Dolphins; 111 Atlantic Grey Seals; no Harbour Porpoises.
