Part of The National Library of Wales' centenary celebrations was an oppen day held on 27 January 2007. There was an opportunity for people to see how the library works, a visit by BBC Wales weatherman Derek Brockway and a children's poetry workshop held by the National Poet of Wales, Gwyneth Lewis.
Welcoming Gwyneth Lewis to the open day where she held poetry workshops.
Thomas Meier, Germany What I hear from a friend about the Library is not inviting. The Open Day this year was mainly for children because the Welsh Assembly gives more money to events relating to young people. The management of the restaurant - which I would call a canteen and is not inviting either for people who have not been to the Library before - is bad. Bad coffee also and always the same food. Events are mainly for the staff who work there (a kind of social club). Mon Apr 30 17:39:08 2007
