" 'Feeling and longing are the motive forces behind all human endeavour and human creations.' Albert Einstein.
At first it may be viewed as slightly pretentious to start a blog with a quote from a scientist, but if we look closer at these poetic words they appear to accurately describe the concept of longing, how it drives us and the power behind it. It's a longing like this that I have of Aberystwyth.
Barely a week has based and I miss the vibrant life of a student and the pleasant atmosphere this town so happily creates.
I am currently at home visiting my parents and taking a few days away from my seaside nirvana to focus un-distracted on a few essays. Already my heart is longing for the seaside.
Mid-Lincolnshire certainly isn't as aesthetically pleasing as the stunning welsh coast. Its times like this that I contemplate Aberystwyth's beauty and the way that it gives a person capacity to relax and study. The hectic city has already increased my stress-levels and I long for the calm of the sea and the pleasant conversation of students.
Aberystwyth somehow winnows out unpleasant thoughts from my mind and instils calm within me, that why I'm returning as soon as I possibly can!"
