"Back in 1997 we formed Celf Cambria Arts to organise a week-long arts and music festival in the village hall in Llanddewi Brefi.
We wanted to organise more of these kind of events in the area and by now, we have a well established bi-monthly roots venue at the Talbot Hotel in Tregaron, along with an art gallery in the town.
Over the years, some big names have visited Tregaron - such as Eric Bibb, Big Bill Morganfield (Muddy Waters' son), Asere, Albert Lee and Hogan's Heroes, Amy Wadge and Szapora.
We are plugged into the touring agencies so we manage to book the artists in between their bigger gigs.
Some of these guys have come over for an UK tour and have never heard of Tregaron. But by the time they've arrived - via some long roads and high mountains - had a few drinks in the bar, played the gig and received such a rapport from the audience, most of them want to come back!
Their enjoyment is definitely reflected in their performance because it's such an unique venue.
Bands and singers are now booked well into 2005 and the line up reflects a wide spectrum of music styles to suit all tastes.
Our audiences trust our taste now and we have managed to maintain our reputation as a first class venue for world class music." Andrew Hawkey from Celf Cambria Arts

Excellent gigs, I have seen some of the greatest musicians here. along with some of the people mentioned above the likes of the fisherman Amos Garret should be mentioned and of course the brilliant Holms Brothers. Keep it up Cambria Arts.
