Last updated: 07 April 2009

Supergrass, The Beat, Skindred, and Drumsound were amongst a host of musicians that appeared at The Square Festival in Borth on 24 to 26 July 2009. Take a look at our coverage of the 2008 event and preview of the 2009 festivities:

In response to the complaint about the language used... i can understand that for some borth residents to be able to hear the language wasn't ideal, though I doubt that all of Borth could, and any person bringing a child to a festival must know what their getting into and if you try to control the language used by bands its much less fun and ruins the atmosphere. I was there and Saturday night (i believe it was skindread you are refering to) were an amazing band and i had so much fun.

Ok to be honest the festival was fun but i got kicked out of square festival the next day for no reason at all. I had to sleep in a field about 400 meters away because they kicked me out, i got arrested for ( suspicion of theft ) even though i did nothing because i was sleeping in my friends tent and they thought i stole his phone. The police even said we were allowed back in because they talked to the people who owns square festival but the thing is my other mates didnt get kicked out but only me and my other m8. so 2 of us out of 7 got kicked out for no reason. This is the first festival i have ever been to and also the last...I'm sorry to say that but that's my opinion.I was going to make a complaint about the security and why they kicked me out because they had no reason to but it would be too much hassle.

The band that was on last on Saturday night, I was appaled with their use of the language coming over the mic.The whole of Borth could hear it, there were children at the festival, I just think they were so irresponsible why do these bands think they are big?
