Silent Music in Comedy films

Former Aberystwyth University student Neil Brand talked about the importance of music in silent film on the BBC Radio 4 programme - Wah! Wah! Wah! Waaaah! The Comedy Scores. The programme looked at how music has been written to enhance comedy films from the days of silent movies to the Carry On era. Listen to Neil talk to presenter Huw Williams about the genre.

The National Library of Wales sometimes shows silent films in their cinema with live musical accompaniment. Check out the what's on section of their website www.llgc.org.uk for future events.
