"As well as running the open public workshops, the organisers at Articulture worked hard to ensure that, with the support of their supporters and funders, the local schools and community groups had the opportunity to take part, to strut their stuff and to show what they can do!
The theme of 'Perthyn', or belonging, was a winner. We loved the fact that people of all ages and groups worked together to take part in the event this year, and also loved that in response to 'what makes you feel like you 'belong' or makes you feel at home?', - there were lanterns that ranged from fish and birds and houses and clocktowers to fried eggs and toast!!.
Articulture organisers were especially pleased that local groups such as the Machynlleth Youth Forum, U3A, Dulas and Abercegir took part and used the event as an opportunity to create something special together.
In future years Articulture hopes that many more local community groups will take ownership of their lanterns and use the event to bring their groups together."
