"It is the first such riding organisation for the area and is based in the rural community of Cadfarch, an area of outstanding natural beauty which has fantastic riding.
Cadfarch Riders is different from conventional riding clubs in that it is open to anyone to join and is aimed at all riders but especially those that do not wish to compete in the usual equestrian disciplines.
The aim of the group is to organise Fun Rides and other social events to raise money for a variety of charities and give horse enthusiasts the opportunity to meet like minded people.
The inspiration for Ceffylau Cadfarch Riders came following the successful Brynllwydwyn Fun Ride organised by Ceri M Jones on 6 July 2008 which attracted 43 riders for a 10 mile ride raising £820 for Wales Air Ambulance.
Anyone that wishes to become a member should complete a membership form found on the group's website seen on the right hand side of this page and send to the membership secretary or alternatively contact a committee member (details below).
The benefits of becoming a member include the opportunity to join the New Year's "Calennig" Ride, the first organised event for members only, on 28 December 2008; reduced fee for all Fun Rides, attend specially organised social events, access to the members area on the group website and a say in the location and fundraising of future Fun Rides and events."
