One of the most distinctive features of Llanidloes is its range of timber-framed buildings. You can find out more about these buildings by visiting a permanent exhibition which is held in the town's Old Market Hall. The exhibition is open during Easter, then from mid-May to the end of September every year. Alternatively take our photo tour written by Dr Charles Kightly and Caroll Davies.
Behind the rendered and weather boarded frontage is one half of a timbered house of a distinctive local type, with a massive central chimney immediately behind the original entrance. Inside the Tea Room is the original big inglenook fireplace with its iron cooking range.
