"Organisers of the Festival of the Great Outdoors in Llanidloes have thanked activity providers for staging, once again, a great week of activities for locals and visitors alike to enjoy and to take part in a range of activities such as archery, sailing, and badger watching in and around the town.

Thankfully as the sun came out, so too did the last minute bookings. We introduced some new activities as well this year such as a photography workshop with local photographer Richard Becker and a Wildlife Walk with Dee Doody which went down really well, in addition to the ever popular sessions such as kayaking and guided walks.

Les Wilkins from Llanidloes, who took part in the photography workshop said "I had a really good day with Richard Becker on Sunday, just the right level for what I needed, and he was an excellent instructor, tailoring the day to suit the needs of those of us who attended. Very good value!"
