Bollywood comes to Lake Vyrnwy

Last updated: 24 November 2005

Mathew Parry from the Mid Wales Film Commission:

"We presented Mohinder with a number of suggestions, showing him the full breadth of wonderful locations that Mid Wales has to offer, and following consultations with his crew, it was decided that they would like to use the area around Lake Vyrnwy."

This is a great blend in my opinion. On one hand we have the contempary image of modern culture with the bollywood. And on the other hand we have the old fashioned view of the lake and all its wonderful history. Simply splendid job by everyone involved!!!

Its great that Lake Vyrnwy is being put on the map by Bollywood. Hopefully this will bring the filming industry into the area, to capture the amazing landscapes in the area. About time I say!
