Llanfair Caereinion

Llanfair Caereinion in Montgomeryshire's Banwy Valley is one of the smallest towns in Powys. Almost 3,000 people lived here in the mid 19th century when the woollen industry was at its peak. The population has since declined to 1,616 (2001 census) and agriculture is now one of the mainstays of the local economy. Click on the links below to find out more about the area.
