Lampeter Youth Club
Last updated: 26 June 2008
Lampeter Youth Club opened its doors on Wednesday 7 May 2008 with 22 young people attending the event. Andrea Edwards of Ceredigion Youth Service told us more about the organisation in June 2008:
"The youth service has been working hard with Lampeter town council on this project for some months and it is hoped that it will be a valuable and fun place for the young people to go.
We had a really good turn out for the first night, all of the young people are keen to get involved and had lots of plans for the future of the club, so watch this space.
The youth club will be offering young people not only activities and fun on club nights but also the opportunity to join in with the Youth Service's accreditation programme for young people which includes the Duke of Edinburgh Award, Youth Achievement Awards and other valuable training like First Aid.
There is also a structured programme of activities that run during school holidays.
The youth club is open every Wednesday evening from 6.30pm - 9pm, during term time for all young people aged 11 and over and will be based in the Canolfan Steffan which is opposite the High School.
