The whole place has really gone downhill recently... the students union is dead and the quarry is basically fight club now. Most of the students are anti-social weirdos who dress up in cloaks and hit each other with plastic swords. The men's toilet in the night club bit of the quarry doesnt even have a sink anymore! It's a hole! I wasted three terrible years there! Don't let it happen to you.

Happy Days at the Quarry, aside from working there, with the town and college rugby lads. Oh, for those fond days! Cheap drinks, good craic, always a laugh.

I graduated from Lampeter 11 years ago, and remember my time there with affection. Good friends to be made with students and especially locals, great pub crawls, night hikes round the Falcondale Lake. And I graduated too, so I must have found time to fit in a bit of work.

Nice to know that Llambed's still full of the bold, the 'bad' & the 'barking'. When I was there - 1969-74 - it was utterly captivating & stunningly beautiful. It still is.

Try the Mustard Seed for amazing hot chocolate. Join a club - they are numerous, cheap, and fun at Lampeter. Take walks around - the scenery is gorgeous and there are so many walking trails in the surrounding hills. Use the bus system for weekend trips to Aberystwyth, Caernarfon, Pembrokeshire, or Swansea - often the bus companies have weekend passes. And above all, take pictures so you never forget how lovely Lampeter is!

Try the Shapla Tandoori for a really good meal, Sospan Fach was always very good for cooked breakfasts on a hangover. Hags is fantastic, and a car essential! I left three years ago now, and I still miss the place!

I studied at Lampeter for three years and graduated in 2004. I still take regular trips back to get away from work. Best advice is to meet the locals, it makes life more enjoyable and real. Enjoy the peace and quiet and most of all the fresh air!

I loved it here and often come back when I can. Where else can you study with the backdrop of some of the best scenery in the UK and study on the beach at finals. It has history, friendliness superb place to be.

Lampeter has a lot going for it; there are some really strange people here. But it has a really wonderful community feeling that most towns lack. Everyone is extremely friendly, and for such a small town, there’s more things going on than I can remember, most of which are listed in town free mag "the lamp". The university is fab also (as I’m a student I feel inclined to say that). But seriously, Lampeter is ace, quite, loud, busy, but most of all friendly and peaceful. Plus its probably the only place in Britain that you can answer chavs back without getting attacked! Its wonderful

Rain and sheep, more rain and more sheep, occasional daffodil, CWMANNE! for the best beer (try Forbidden Fruits). Too many friends so didn't get much work done. Hated it so much I came back for a post-grad :-)

Join RPG if you want to get away from student life for a couple of hours without even leaving the Campus. From far away lands to Lampeter being attacked by Zombies, nothing is more satisfying than your first Kill.

The University’s small so you get to know everyone really quickly. It can be a pain sometimes because on your way back from shopping in town you spend ages talking to other students you bump into all the time!

Go to The Quarry which is a bar that’s part of Oxygen nightclub. It’s student friendly and an important part of a pub crawl around Lampeter

Go to the Students Union because there’s always something on and it’s incredibly sociable. It’s a good way of getting to know people quickly when you start at Lampeter University
