in the early 1960'sI lived in a smallholding to the east of the Post Office and called Ynys Yr Moch, not far from the school. Milk came from the adjoining small holding run by a Mr Blyth, who had at one time run a fish and chip shop

I lived up in the hills above LLanfair 20 years ago and then moved two and a half miles away even further up the hill above Cellan. I will never forget the evenings sitting in the garden at Llanfair Fawr and hearing the voices of the old men leaning on the bridge coping in the quiet of the evening with the river slippng slowly by beneath them.

I lived in a smallholding on the hill behind the post office in 1946 for eight years. With my brother we often paddled in the teifi when the water was low and looked for tiddlers.Just over the hill there was a railway and every night at six fourty five a train went past. That was the signal to run home fast as possible to hear Dick Barton on the radio. Happy days.

I visited my cousin Mr 'Son' Lambert and his family in the 60's at the Silver Mine in the one time mine manager's house. Is this the same J Lambert who lived there then and now lives in Wiltshire.

Me and my family used to go on holiday to Llanfair Clydogau when we were kids. We were on a caravan site by the river. There were donkeys and and ponies which we were allowed to ride and he farmer built a wooden teepee for us to play in. I remember that the caravan site was on a bend in the river where there was a deep pool and the farmer had put a plank out over the pool for diving and jumping off. It was idlylic. I have many many happy childhood memories of those holidays. There were seven of us in our family and we used to arrive in an old Bedford van, we'd sing all the way the! re. Bliss

I spent a brief time living in Llanfair when I was a small child shortly after moving from Italy. I have fond memories of my time at the old primary school and enjoyed my childhood there. I am now living back in Italy.

I lived just outide the vilage at a small cottage called plasbach as a small boy moved away to Lloeger ( England) due to my parents marriage failure.Came back nearly thirty years later and found to my delight very little change apart from the old primary school closing down...
