Faith
Faith has always played a central role in the life of the Lampeter area. This includes the development of the 'Black Spot' of Unitarianism in the 19th century to the study of religion at the university today. Sarah Adams, Portsmouth (formally of Lampeter)
Being at Lampeter for my degree was a wonderful experience, both academically and spiritually. Being a 'city pagan' , I found Lampeter to be amazingly accepting no matter your personal beliefs. Whilst there I met members of many faiths, including... Many 'varieties' of Christian, Muslim, Jew, Hindu (check out the Skandavale Temple!) Pagan, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, new ager, spiritualist... even the odd Jedi scattered here and there :-)
