Festival of Town Criers

Last updated: 23 July 2009

On Saturday 18 August 2007, dozens of loud-mouthed men and women descended on Knighton in Powys to take part in the Festival of Town Criers which began in August 2003. Organiser Ruth Middleton sent us these photos of the event. The 2009 competition will take place on Saturday 22 August. Around 20 Town Criers have entered this year and will parade through the Town at 11.30am:
