I must confess that I find it difficult to pass the chip shop in Machynlleth without stopping. It does the best chips ever - real chips made with real potatoes and lots of crunchy bits. It is located at the top of town opposite the ATS garage the food and service is great and it's at a reasonable price. They have just won fish and chips shop of the year 2008! good luck to david hennighan and co!

Spice UK Welshpool, wonderful people, unbelievable food, fantastic prices. This eastern delight, for anyone who has not yet visited, is truly a gastronomic nirvana, I have eaten at many restaurants of eastern origin and have never tasted food so masterfully prepared, the flavours are always subtley balanced and never overpowering, if you can't afford to visit India go to spice UK. You can almost taste the culture.

The best chip shop I have found is Eastgate Chip Shop in Aber. its just down the back street from the high street, towards the pier. Its got to be the best in taste, and the portions are huge!
Definately recommend it to anyone and everyone!
