We always spend a couple of weeks in Aber every summer. I always pop in to Kraxi to do my Xmas shopping. Lots of different things to see. and now they've opened a new Homeware store aswell. My house is already looking a Kraxi showroom!

Just wanted to say what a truly amazing shop. Ive never been in a shop where i wanted to buy every thing. Lots of wonderful gifts, which is going to be handy come xmas time! I live in Surrey and I don't think they have Branches so I'll be visiting their website so I don't miss out. PS- Its nice to see the Big Multiples (e.g M&S,NEXT) haven't taken over Abersytwyth & little shops like Kraxi are still about!

Klodhoppers shoe shop in Aberystwyth is heaven! Loads of really lovely shoes like Irregular Choice and Sugar and Converse. Only problem is I want them all and my student loan doesn't stretch that far!! Oh well, I may starve but I'll look great :o) Staff are friendly too. 10/10

Kraxi in Pier Street, Aberystwyth. Is an amazing shop with something for everyone at very reasonable prices. I always make sure I drop by to see the new stuff as it is really unusual and very unique.

The best shoe shop i ever shopped in is Camilla's in Welshpool! Brilliant unusual shoes, boots and bags. There is a bigger shop in Oswestry but the one next to Woolies in Welshpool is a treasure trove. All shoeaholics must try it !! Very helpful friendly staff too, she even opened on a sunday especially for me to collect a pair of boots I had ordered, how's that for service.

My favourite place to shop in Mid Wales is an unusual little Stall in Newtown Market Hall. It is only there every Friday but it is so interesting, mostly selling things to do with Paganism and Witchcraft, but also Art, Cards, and unusual gifts, incense sticks and crystals.

Our best shop has got to be D Matthews & son Butchers in Borth. A proper traditional family butcher selling excellent quallity produce.

My favourite shop in Machynlleth Mid Wales has to be Kelvin Jenkins the jewellers in the high street: they have a fine range of hand made jewellery and some lovely gifts, and the service is always very friendly.

Tuffins in Knighton is a real shopping experience. Whatever you need, you can usually find it there. Shopping does tend to take a little longer as it's sometimes difficult to find what you're looking for but it is enjoyable!

Rainbows End in Newtown High Street - its full of everything from little knick-knacks to furniture! It's great for presents and I could always spend a fortune in there.

Trevor Spencer from Builth Wells
Presant on the High Street in Builth as they have such a mix of gifts and cards and the staff are so friendly and knowledgable about the local artists and craftsmen they use. Please be careful though as they have a habit of getting you to buy even when you had no intention must be witchcraft!

if you are into crafts, especially papercrafts, cardmaking etc then go to Canny Crafts in Abergavenny. I spend a fortune everytime I go. They also have a fantastic on-line shop for those of us who can't get there very often!
