I used to work in a hotel on the outskirts of welshpool no residents were in this night so we went to town had a few drinks and i stayed at my mates next morning whent to work the manager whent mad with us says that we woke her by running up and down the stairs all night we told her we were not in and she whent white ha ha , a few weeks later i was in the kitchen after mopping the floor wating for it to dry with my back against the wall and a big box of matches flew from behind me and hit the wall oppisite me impossible as there was only a wall behind me. The third time is when i saw the ghost i was in bed at the hotel and a shape of mist 2 foot wide and 5 foot long floated around the top of the room all the way around i got out of bed grabbed my things and never went back again///

When I worked in a local shop it came time to lock up for the night there were two of us working and one of us needed to go upstairs to get the key then I had a funny urge to look down the end of the shop then I saw a ghost like lady floting from the wall on one side of the shop to the other she was all in white she just looked down to where I was stood smiled and just floated on through the wall on the other side of the shop. I did not work there for long after that.Anyone tell me what that was all about? As I was 100% I saw her.

I didn't believe in ghosts but I think that is what i saw one aftErnoon. I was walking my dog out our farm in south wales it was dark ish not night as yet 7... 7.30 when we were walking through the woods me and Fred my dog. He just furiously starting barking at something what looked like a ghost floating looking straight in front of us. Fred was barking. I was just frozen it hovered for a few seconds then faded away. I will never forget it like a light it was nice feeling but worrying, funny place the land behind my farm. Won't say the farm too many people might decide to come look. But now I belive there is another life after this heaven is a real place...

2005 May 13th Friday.. well we were camping that friday. Me and a few friends about 11.35 we were all by the fire and one of the lads shouted "check that", "look look" in the old field by the building something was in the darkness just standing by a tree, so obviously we thought it was a person weirdo maybe so 3 of us got up to investigate we were walking over and this ghost...in a dark cloak disappeared just wasn't there no more. We were scared at this point thinking what is going on and shocked this thing really seriously vanished in front of us. One of the boys by the fire shouted its by the fence we turned round and this thing was about 300 yrds away from us it turned back looked at the fire then disapeared again. From this day we talk about it don't no what it was but it put the shivvers up me more than anything in my life ever has. We went home that night and I still see this thing in my head sometimes, well weird. A mad old world I say.

I have seen the end of a cigarette about the size of a half dollar, glowing in the dark right in the front of my eyes, I was in bed at the time. I stared at it and when I blinked my eyes it had dissapeared, no it was not my eyes for it was glowing.

There is one little known place in Tregaron mid wales, there is a small house on a hill and a few of my uncle's friends went up there and decided to look round. From the outside it looks like a normal house but inside it's very dark and looks really dull, no one's lived in it for 20 years or so. But they encounterd so many things standing outside. There were strange lights in the house. A candle was lighted up on its own and took round the house. (Belive me they got footage) Don't know if any one on here knows about it??!

My father-in-law,the late David Evans often told this story to my children when he came to stay with us,I heard it told many times without any variation, so it "was" true He was working on a farm in Maesmynis on the slopes of the Epynt,at about the age of 16. One of the big events in the area was the annual "Strays" This was held at "The Drovers Arms" (TY MYNYDD) the old hostelry right on top of the Epynt on the side of the road, Garth to Upper Chapel. This was a wide open area without fences so it was inevitable that some sheep strayed off their "walks". When the farms were gathering for "Shearing" they would find "srtays" amoung their flocks, so the tradition was to meet on a named evening, wwhen the strays would be displayed and claimed by their rightful owners and many pints of ale would be handed around as payment by grateful owners, this led to a night of great celebratio. David my father-in-law had gone to the event with Mr Griffiths the neighbouring Farmer, and although only 16 had enjoyed a convivial night,"maybe one too many". But in the good care of the neighbour set off over the mountain for their homes. They eventually got to the parting of the ways where Mt Griffiths turned up a lane to his farm and David had to carry on to his farm about 300 yards further on.The moon was shining quite brightly so David set off at a good pace, but wes suddenly aware that he was not alone, behind he could clearly hear a horses footsteps, and glancing over his shoulder, he could see a white pony and rider catching up with him. Now there was a gate across the road which David was about to open to let himself and the rider through, but the horse and rider went straight through the gate as if it was not there,David doffed his cap and bid hin Good Night but no reply, turned on his heels and ran to the farm hammered on the door, when opened by wife of the farm she found David lying on the floor in a faint. This tale I heard him repeat many many times.

Not sure if I believe in all of this but here's an old story from Dennis Griffiths of Sennybridge. He was driving home one night from the Swansea Valley. He'd passed the Tafarn-y-Garreg pub on his right hand side and began the long ascent up to what is known locally as the Bwlch (above Crai Resevoir). Half way up the long hill is a small bend and on the left hand side of the road is a track up to a farm. He had just passed this track when a woman ran out in front of his vehicle. Believing he had run someone over he got out to check but there was no one there. He went on to say that sometime later when he enquired about this incident the people who owned the farm at the top of the track knew who it was but would not divulge any more information. Every time I drive (uneventfully) passed that spot I think about his story. Has anyone else heard of a similar tale or was he just an old man telling a tall story?
