Rupert Tildesley, Aberdyfi
Found a lovely spot on the mid-Wales coast called Aberdyfi. A charming seaside town with pastel coloured rendered buildings and miles of sandy beaches. They even have a great community website at www.aberdyfi.com

Mevagissey, Cornwall, England is a great place for cliff walks; exploring Heligangardens and the walk through the valley down to Mevagissey is lovely.

I recently visited Mid Wales with my wife and our two children. We stopped had the pleaseure of stopping at three delightful camping grounds. But I felt especially welcome at Fforest Fields Near Builth Wells. The location is stunning and campsite was beautifully looked after and owners were only too happy to help all they could. We have already decided to return later this year! Oh and the Seven Stars pub in Aberedw is also well worth a visit!

Greenfields caravan park in Pentregat Llangranog, beautiful scenery, not far from Llangrannog beach, is a quiet unspoilt place spent many holidays here as a child, the views from the country roads of the sea are lovely.

Stayed up in Devil's Bridge at the end of August this year (2005) in a vw camper. Took the little steam train to Aber for the day, what beautiful views. Then a lovely day in Aber - fish n chips, a stroll round the shops... what a lovely town in a beautiful country...beats Barry Island...

When I was a little girl, many moons ago, my mom, dad and myself would spend many happy moments in Aber. We would usually stay at a little village called Talybont. We would stay at the White Lion Hotel.

I loved to hear the singing that took place in the bar in the evening - I would be laying in my bed and these beautiful Welsh, mostly male voices would filter upstairs to my bedroom. Of course they would be singing in Welsh, it was lovely and it would bring tears to my eyes. I do not speak Welsh (I did manage to remember a few words) but I fell in love with the language and I am pleased to see that your lovely country has retained its language and it is very popular with the young people today.

Other memories of the White Lion was their fabulous food they served at dinner time - 8 courses, I would nearly be asleep by the end of dinner but it was an experience and a fantastic education for me (I was eleven years old at the time).

I also have a couple of car blankets that were woven at a weaving mill which was located in this area. I am happy to say that after all these years they are still in good shape. I use to love to get up early in the morning and go outside to see people cast fishing in the little river close by. They would be fishing for trout, which I am sure they would serve for breakfast at the hotel. Someday I hope to return for a visit.

Sitting here in darkest Essex, I well remember the cheap day return we had from Machynlleth to Pwllheli last September, sheer bliss and at £6.20p return it just had to be the best value for money anywhere in the whole of the U.K. Added to that the train was clean and on time in each direction.
