Borth,Cwmtydu,Llangrannog,Mwnt,Penbryn orYnyslas? For me Ynyslas is the nicest. We sometimes have a picnic on Borth Beach. I prefer sandy beaches to pebbles though - I like finding different shells.

Borth Beach is the best in the world. I grew up in Borth and took it for granted. Now I live in Georgia I miss it terribly. Watching the sun rise or sun set is the most amazing experience you can have as a child or as an adult...sit on the prom and enjoy with a glass of wine or a nice slow gin and tonic.

It has to be Borth. Which other beach boasts such huge waves during a storm and with the wind in the right direction brings the sea in through your front door?

Tresaith nr Aberporth, this is a beautiful little beach with a waterfall. There is a nearby shop and pub. The toilets are also close to the beach and clean. What more could you ask for!

Pendine is the best for walking, extreme sports, racing, collecting things on the beach, best for skimboarding because its as flat as, and also a good surf break mainly in winter.

Ever since I was 6 months old I have visited Borth, I am now 41 and take my own children there. The beach at Borth is fantastic.I have the most wonderful memories of our family holidays there. Even if its only for 1 day we have to go every year. My parents couldn't drive so we travelled by train and stayed either on Brynowen caravan park or at Gleanor house owned by Jane & Thomas Morris. We would be on the beach by 10 a.m and stay there till 6p.m. My parents could relax while we played all day on that beach. Borth holds such a special place in my heart and even more so as my father passed away in September, he often said "if I'm going to die just take me to Borth and leave me on the beach". When we visit this year we know dad will be sitting on the beach with us.

Tresaith is my favourite beach. I may be biased as I grew up there, but there is something magical about it. The beautiful rocks, the soft lapping of the waves, and the way that the waterful descends so gracefully. It's all so mesmorizing.

My husband and I travel all over the world but we still love Cilborth Bay in Llangrannog and return every year. The cafe on the beach sells the most wonderful cakes and ice creams and we stayed at the beautiful Cilborth guest house and have done for years.

Always loved this place. Used to bring the kids on the train. So accessible by public transport. If everyone did we would have a traffic free village. That would be paradise!

My husband and sons have spent many happy hols in Borth since 1990. We loved it so much, that we moved from the black country to live here 3 yrs ago, and wouldn't live anywhere else now. Our sons are both grown up and now our new grandaughter comes with her mom n dad for their hols - so Borth is our favorite beach.

We absolutely love coming to Borth. We have come nearly every weekend this season as we have a touring caravan at Swn Y Mor caravan park. Ynyslas beach is fantastic for the kids and I and for my chap's love of jetskiing and fishing. There is nothing better that fresh mackeral on the BBQ at the beach on a warm saturday evening. I love it here and WILL be back next season.

My nan had a battered old caravan on Searivers site back in the seventies. It was purple and white!! It had not got a toilet and we had to draw water from a tap behind the van. Me and my sisters used to spend lovely hot summers at Borth and at Ynyslas back in the seventies. We were there for the long hot summer of 1976 and it was great. I never wanted to go home back to the Midlands after being in Borth. I felt so free and happy there. My nan worked in a pub in Borth as a cook. I will always have fond memories of Ynyslas beach, the lovely sand dunes, the mist in the morning from Aberdovey, the thousands of rabbits, blackberry picking, the unspoilt nature of the place, the old Station Hotel, the list is endless. We are are going camping this weekend and we will be going to Borth. I have travelled abroad far and wide, but I will always come back to Borth. This place will always hold very fond and happy memories for me.

During the summer as a small child, I remember walking down the long route towards the sea, starting from our caravan perched on the lushest of hills. The walk seemed forever for me as my legs couldn't match the pace of my surrounding family. But the drive for this marathon was the golden sands of Penbryn beach. Every so often the glistening sea would peek through the trees only to disapear, tempting us toward its beauty. The journey down was special for me as I gained a sense of accomplishment, earning the right to enjoy the beaches' pleasures. The unspoiled beauty of this area deems it perfect for walking whether it be to Llangrannog, passing the crashing yet poetic waterfall, or a clifftop walk past the widest and angriest of bulls, that is if you lose your way! Many a long summer's day was spent in and out of the imposing caves; one day a pirate searching for treasure, another a shipwrecked crew of a doomed vessel. Penbryn.

Mwnt is definitely the best beach on the Cardigan coastline. Surrounded on all sides by huge stone cliffs, the beach always stays really clean. It is never over crowded and the atmosphere on the beach is unique. If you like Penbryn, Tresaith and the others, you'll love Mwnt. If you watch carefully enough you can see dolphins out in the sea. If ya lucky enough, they come inland! Just watch out for the 122 steps trek down to it! They are definitely worth it though!

Penbryn; there are beaches and there are beaches and then there's Penbryn. It's a wonderful setting and as the tide goes out you can make a short walk around the headland to a wonderful sandy extension of the beach. Lots of rock pools for the kids to enjoy and the sand is so pure and clean. Wonderful scenery and a sea to die for.

Its hard to choose one as there are so many. But the backdrop to llangranog puts it at the top of my list, only a whisker ahead of Mwnt. The beaches are so clean, the scenery so truly breathtaking, thats why I always holiday in wales.

Cwmtydu: We came across this little gem when on a walk over the fields and cliffs from the camping & caravanning club site nr. New Quay. We called in at the art gallery which is owned and run by the artists Robert Lee and Elizabeth Hurley. We purchased a picture painted by Robert to remind us of the lovely walk and holiday. We then proceeded on our way up the pretty flower filled lane through the valley and back to the camp site. We returned to this magic place the next day in our motor home to collect the picture
