Ceredigon Museum is working with community groups to create a series of artistic mosaics charting nine key points in the history of Aberystwyth Castle. The first decorative panel has been produced by a group of young archaeologists who meet at the museum every Saturday.
One of the young archaeologists involved in making the mosaic said:
"We tend to think of the castle ruins as a romantic site which relates to the long forgotten past, but in reality it was a harsh and cruel place where people fought to the death. Making a mosaic of a skeleton reminds us of that."
