Last updated: 09 July 2008

Philip Glynn from Newtown told us about Linda Ward and the Young At Heart group she runs for older people in Newtown:

Linda: The social aspect of the group is important too, and we aim to have alot of fun and laughter along with the physical exercise. I also use several "Cross Crawl" exercises, which use both sides of the body simultaneously, and therefore both sides of the brain - we try to keep our marbles in good shape as well!

New members are always welcome - just come along and join us, it's a fun and gentle way to help keep fit and flexible, and make new friends too.

We have just survived a hurricane(hurricane ike)! I am a member of a club in Texas. It is a swim club and I swim for 2 hours everyday, 5 times a week! Actually, my grandma is in your program. She loves her program! And, the photos show it too! Her name is Maisie Tanner!! Could you give her a big hello from her family down in Houston, Texas!!
