Old Photos

From a May Fair in 1880 to the advent of the motor car in 1923, local historian and businessman Eric Lewis Pugh has put together a fascinating album of old photos of Hay-on-Wye. If you've got any shots of the town in days gone by, you can send them to us and we'll add them to the website.

  • Eric Lewis Pugh has also written a profile of Hay-on-Wye where his family have lived for more than 150 years.
