Last updated: 13 January 2007
Jack Tait from Hay on Wye has made a photographic record of the activities at the town's St Mary's Anglo-Catholic Church during the last year. The slideshow below gives a taste of what happened. Captions are written by Jack's wife, Rita.

Rita from the Bronydd, Clyro
Liz.
We know Eileen well; she is one of the most popular members of our congregation. She once told me that, as a child, she used to attend the little Chapel down the lane from my place in the Bronydd * - a private house now of course. Her guide dog Fay is a charmer but I suspect would lead the Curate astray, given half a chance. She loves her dogtreats.
* I always refer to it as "the Bronydd" not Bronydd as a nod towards the Rev Kilvert who wrote of it like that in his Diaries. He gave it the English spelling of course.
Curate Jimmy
Since BBC Wales were kind enough to put my picture up for inspection on their website I would like to mention modestly that I have been written up in the Daily Telegraph on January 6th ( Celia Haddon column) and that HarperCollins have used me ( and Fr. Richard) in all promotional text to advertise the new book by Richard Surman called Dog Collar. This will be published in a month's time and I am on the front cover. I deserve this!

My sister is in the centre of this choir picture, white blouse with black trim. Her name is Eileen Bufton, she has a guide dog Fay and is well known through the town and surrounding area. She and Fr Richard have a lot in common through their pets and he has helped brighten up her life. She suffers from retinitis pigmentosa as does our brother Trefor Jones who also lives in Hay. I am Catholic and Eileen and I are now able to chat about our religions thank to Fr Richard. God Bless him ..and Jimmy!!
