Hay on Fire

Last updated: 31 October 2006

More than 3,000 people turned out to enjoy Hay on Wye's fire celebration on 28 October which has been revived after a break of a decade. Celebrations included lighting a huge fiery phoenix and a fireworks display after a procession and performances from fire dancers, musicians and massed performers. Click through the slideshow of photographs and captions sent in by one of the organisers, Charlie Ryrie showing musicians, cross-dressing Morris Dancers a dragon an a phoenix. Hay-on-fire was a fantastic event! On behalf of the fire-performers involved I can say that everyone had a great time being part of something so innovative and exciting! Bring on next year!!!
