Colin: "Picture of Amy Price with the pet fox we had in the early 1960s. We had the fox cub before his eyes were open and he was always very domesticated. As children we would walk around Hay in the summer holidays with the fox sat over our shoulder. Many times we would be given 2 bob or half a crown to pose for a photograph by a visitor on holiday. Nice little earner."

I am currently trying to trace my great grandmother who was born in Hay Llandrillo, her birth name is Price (on the census of 1861, working as a dairy maid on a farm in Brecon and listed as SAVO - which, as yet, I have no information on - she sailed to South Australia sometime after this and may years later have returned to live in a north west Lancashire mining town under the name of Roberts (her married name seemingly during years in Australia was pass - if anyone can help with the Prices that sailed to Australia circa 1865-70 will they kindly contact me. My grandmother was Ann Price. Her associate also SAVO was Thomas Price. They were both unmarried may have been related?

Barbara, are you Phyllis and Roy's daughter? I'm Rona's granddaughter, Tom's daughter. If so I am related to everyone you are related to. Small world isn't it!

I definitely recognise people in the photograph - almost all of them in fact. My Dad, Roy Lewis, is fourth from the left (standing), with his brother Reg, (who has recently died), second from the left. My Uncle Jack Lewis is on the far left.I also seem to be related to about half of Hay (as it once was), but oh, it was lovely seeing this photo again.

In the photo are my great grandfather and two of my great uncles. It has been fantastic to see this as i had never seen a photo of my great grandad. There may also be other relatives on it not sure as i seem to be related to at least half of hay.
