Been fishing over the rocks near Borth. Done quite well having caught 8 Bass in 10 days! Released 5 as they were undersize. However i have caught 3 good sized bass, one 2lb and two 3lb! Have been trying for mackerel but there doesnt seem to be many around?? Does anyone know of any good spots for bass fishing, would be very greatful for some info!

I love fishing the river severn in newtown. The grayling and large chub are a delight to catch,i have talked to many a person who have traveled up all the way from Birmingham to catch the Grayling and when you catch several over 1lb and 2lb,you can understand why.

As a fishing guide I am fortunate to fish various marks all over North West Wales on a daily basis, however there is nothing quite like a nice evening's Bass Plugging from the Perch near my home in Barmouth.

I go down Borth and there is flounder, good size turbot and ray being caught very close in and small bass being caught by the rocks. Still some mackerel as well.

I regularily fish at Barmouth estuary on Fairbourne beach, it often produces dogfish, garfish, school bass, flounder and red bream. It is usually best fished at 2 hours before and after low tide.

Llanarth Fishery is the Place for Me. Plenty of Coarse Fish, Including Carp, Tence Etc. The Owner is very Helpful and has Equipment to Hire, and will often chat to you on the Lakeside if you need advice or help with setting up. The Price is very Reasonable for a Venue with three Seperate Lakes, and it has pleasant surroundings. Regular visits have been lively with bites but it depends on the lake surface and weather conditions.

I often go with my three boys to Dinas lake – just above Ponterwyd. It always seems to be well stocked and hence provides a good chance of catching something. We don’t always catch one but at least we know they’re there!
